The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is a foundation that is near and dear to Vision Financial Group. Joe DiLeo’s wife Rosemary was diagnosed in 2019 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. In 2021, after a tough battle, Rosemary went into remission.
Our Rochester and Buffalo teams participated in the walk to honor Rosemary’s fight, remember those who lost their fight to cancer, and to find a cure. Our VFG team raised $14,196 to help the LLS foundation.
At the Buffalo walk, MC, Channel 4 anchor, Dave Greber announced VFG as the presenting sponsor of next year’s walk. After the announcement, Joe was introduced on stage to say to deliver a heartfelt message. His message: “My wife Rosemary is here as a survivor because all the effort and work the walks, and the contributions you’ve all made to this great organization. You think about the time you spend thinking about whether or not you should attend a walk in the rain or cold, you need to walk in the cold and the rain.
VFG wants to bring the light to the darkness of cancer. We hope to see you at next year’s “Light the Night” Walk!
